Building a strong foundation of YOUR values and principles that guide you in your everyday practice, knowing what kind of educator you want to be and utilizing reflective practice is the key to transforming your early years practice into confidently educating with creativity and connection.
And that’s exactly what you get inside the reggio inspired beginner course! This is a 4 module online self paced learning course designed specifically for early childhood educators to transform their practice by embracing the reggio way of thinking to have more calm and confidence in your everyday practice.
Getting Started With Your Reggio Inspired Practice is a self paced course that walks you through the building blocks of the transformational educational approach that will support you to…
This course is for early childhood educators:
The goal of this reggio inspired beginner course is for you to develop a SOLID foundation of YOUR belief system that consists of images of the child and educator along with a reflective practice that acts as your guiding posts to use in your everyday practice and take intentional actions.
Because, I don’t want you to get stuck in the learning phase. You’re a lifelong learner, but for growth and change to happen; reflection on your experience will support you to continuously take actions.By the end of the course you’ll have a belief system that reflects what kind of educator you want to be and what kind of early learning environment you want to curate that will support you to make decisions in your everyday role with ease and confidence.
In Module 1, we’ll explore the core principles of the Reggio Emilia Approach and how to adapt them to your unique educational setting. Here are the key takeaways:
1. Embrace Uniqueness: Understand that your program won’t replicate Reggio Emilia exactly – the goal is to learn and adapt these principles to your specific context, avoiding the need for mere replication.
2. Strong Image of the Child, Educator, and Family: Develop a profound understanding of these key elements, emphasizing individuality, community, and reflection.
3. Reflective Practice: Learn how to shift from having all the answers to embracing curiosity, engaging in reflective thinking, and conducting research to support children’s learning.
By the end of this module, you’ll recognize and overcome roadblocks and reflect on your role as an educator. We’ll also dive into mindset development, empowering you to achieve your goals, learn from mistakes, and foster positive relationships in your educational journey.
In Module 2 of our course, we delve into the significance of the Image of the Child, coupled with reflective practice. You’ll gain a deep understanding of the Educator as Researcher concept and learn practical strategies to infuse your teaching role with ease, confidence, and stronger connections with your students.
I know that you want to get to moving those shelves and enhancing your environment BUT, knowing your images of the child and educator are KEY aspects that help you make decisions about your third teacher.
Don’t miss our first LIVE session, where you’ll engage in interactive exhibits, fostering a sense of community and dialogue among fellow educators.
By the end of this module, you’ll begin to bring these concepts to life and empower your educational journey.
Discover a transformative workshop that seamlessly blends the principles of the Reggio Emilia Approach with a reflective 6 C’s framework, guiding you towards curating a curiosity-driven space that resonates with your unique vision. In this dynamic session, you will learn to harness the environment as the Third Teacher, allowing your space to reflect the images of the child, educator, and family.
Throughout the workshop, we will delve into the crucial role of the learning environment, emphasizing four essential considerations before implementing enhancements. Gain the skills to curate a sensory-rich learning space that caters to sensory sensitivities, creating an engaging and inclusive atmosphere for all learners.
Educators will leave this workshop with a clear vision for their environments, ready to put the 6 C’s framework into action. You’ll be inspired with hands-on play experiences that can be easily implemented into your settings right away, ensuring that you are well-equipped to create a stimulating and inviting learning space that nurtures the innate curiosity and creativity of your young learners.
Reflective Practice is an essential piece to your continuous growth and to taking intentional actions. In this session you’ll learn what reflective practice is, what elements are needed, how to get started and you’ll hear stories from my own experience along the way. We end the session with answering the Big Picture questions that were asked in the first module and we take time to write reflections and share our thoughts.
I know you’re getting a little zoomed out.😜 So to create a learning experience that is inspiring and supports you to take action, as a community of learners we’ll go through the specially curated exhibits that I created on the Image of the Child and Educator as Researcher.
You’ll engage in a visual and auditory experience that will have you reflecting on your practice and learning from fellow educators. We’ll also have some engaging dialogue where you’ll be able to share your knowledge and experience AND connect with like minded educators.
You’ll be inspired and rejuvenated!
The goal of these exhibits is not only a very impactful experience but also to show how each educator takes the philosophy of The Reggio Emilia Approach® and infuses it personally into their own context.
Sharing my experience is great, but that is only one view. These exhibits show educators from all kinds of experiences and how they implemented their image of the child and how they see their role into their own settings and contexts.
You’ll have the opportunity to come together as a community of educators, experience these exhibits and have meaningful dialogue and reflection to continue growing in our practices. To show that YOUR experience and knowledge are needed and valued.
But I also know that not everyone will be able to attend live, this is why the sessions are recorded and everyone who joins will be able to watch the replay when it works for them.
But to truly make this an interactive experience, you’ll also get the link to these exhibits so that you can control your pace and personalize your time engaging with the exhibits.
Just as you experience in a museum.

Below are some quotes from your fellow educators who’ve taken the trainings or heard me teach about building a reggio inspired practice.
“Quite helpful, especially tips on what steps you took to adopt Reggio into your classroom.” – Allison Greenhalgh
“I have only been working as an early years educator for almost three years now, and for the first time I realized how huge is the importance of the environment in my role. None of the training courses done before had the power to open my eyes and mind the way this course did. I feel enabled and empowered with the right knowledge and confidence to make the right changes in my setting, changes that will truly support children’s learning and development, and that will make me a better educator.
I can’t wait to share this knowledge with my colleagues, the children and their families and I am hopeful that together we can raise awareness of this amazing approach, Emilia Reggio. Thank you again for the opportunity!” – Cristina Gray
“Veronica explains the Reggio Principles so well!” – Paola Lopez
“Ronnie’s transformative and practical guidance throughout the programme helped me to connect with my own style, values and strengths and use them to create a wonderful learning space for the children, parents and educators.” – Aliz Merlics
“You spoke about the importance of reflection and recognizing burnout. I was becoming emotional because that just resonated with me. Thank you so much for such a wonderful and rich course, full of resources, and I so appreciate the unlimited time that we have access. I feel like I did this course at just the right time, and I am left feeling excited and ready to challenge myself.” – Ilse Heatly
“Will help bring educators back to their spark and what is their why!” – Lindsay Varey
“The course, Getting Started With Your Reggio Inspired Practice from Cultivating Confidence has done just that for me, it has cultivated a sense of confidence and competence in my work as an ECE. I’ve been running my registered dayhome for 17 years now, so working with young children isn’t new to me. This course has been absolutely wonderful. I came away so motivated – with a notebook full of quotes, ideas, and inspiration to bring back to my practice with children. Thank you, Veronica, for creating this course! – Heather Sandouga
