Inside you'll find a carefully curated set of 4 workshops filled with instant & fresh ideas for child led learning, open-ended play that is connected to all learning domains AND will take the guesswork & stress out of using loose parts, planning and understanding behaviours.
Build your toolkit of practical, easy-to-implement ideas and strategies that align with your values and will support you right now in your practice just as more than educators like you have already done.
You're not sure how do to introduce loose parts to infants, toddlers and preschoolers and are AFRAID to use all the small pieces.
You don't want to waste your LIMITED TIME and well let's face it, energy, on setting up provocations the children wont touch.
You feel like all your time is spent managing behaviours and endless meltdowns and think loose parts will only cause MORE issues.
You're not sure if you can get admin, families, fellow educators....basically everyone, onboard with the idea and benefits of these thingamabobs!
Embracing loose parts play into your early years practice can be incredibly overwhelming when first starting out - especially when you're chasing energetic children, wiping bums, singing the clean up song for the thousandth time that day all while "being on" for 9 hours a day.
So here's what I want to say to you believer of play and child led learning (and those trying to move away from theme based learning).
I truly believe that the key missing element to getting more time and calm in your routine, growing in your role in NEW and better ways and still have energy left at the end of your day for your personal life - is loose parts play.
Here's what I mean.
There are WAY more silly moments like this...now (my little guy in the pic!)
My husband and I have had way too many conversations about how our son cried so much and lived a very distressful life.
This also impacted HOW I could show up for the children in my early learning program. All of my time was spent "managing" (really being reactive) and I wasn't able to support ALL THE CHILDREN how I truly envisioned.
By embracing the magic of loose parts play and all of the connections to child development and self-regulation I was able to inspire, support and nurture ALL the children with ease. Loose parts enabled me to find innovative ways to connect with our autistic son and support the individual needs of all the children.
When I first started with loose parts play I only thought it would be for more fun.
Now I am forever grateful to embracing what ALL that loose parts play can bring to the children, families and YOU.
If you're willing to commit to embracing the magic of loose parts play, learn what I have to teach you and implement it into your early years role, I promise to value and respect your time & energy with only sharing practical strategies and ideas that will support you right now to simplify your planning and solve behaviours.
So that you can find more calm, ease, time and energy to keep doing your oh so important work and impacting children's lives with play based learning.
As an Early Childhood Consultant, I've been sharing my ideas, knowledge and practice with thousands of educators just like you on curating an inclusive program and nurturing children’s capabilities with experiences filled with wonder and curiosity.
Over the last 10 years I don’t just have a collection of loose parts…
I have a library!
A library filled with curiosity-driven materials that helped me find clarity in my role, made my planning process easier, become proactive with behaviours and one of the best parts... helped me find my sense of creativity and love my job again!
And, to this day, I continue to be mesmerized by these incredible materials.
