There are WAY more silly moments like this...now (my little guy in the pic!)
My husband and I have had way too many conversations about how our son cried so much and lived a very distressful life.
This also impacted HOW I could show up for the children in my early learning program. All of my time was spent "managing" (really being reactive) and I wasn't able to support ALL THE CHILDREN how I truly envisioned.
By embracing the magic of loose parts play and all of the connections to child development and self-regulation I was able to inspire, support and nurture ALL the children with ease. Loose parts enabled me to find innovative ways to connect with our autistic son and support the individual needs of all the children.
